To call an ambulance for a medical emergency, dial 111.

The Cromwell Medical Centre works closely with St John Ambulance to provide emergency care to our patients and visitors to our community.

There are currently 2 full time paramedics who cover the daytime requirements & a dedicated group of volunteers who assist with both day and night cover. PRIME trained GPs from The Cromwell Medical Centre carry a pager and provide medical support to St John.

St John operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Every year they save thousands of lives. In New Zealand, the St John Ambulance Service treats and transports approximately 400,000 people every year. They have more than 600 operational vehicles and 205 ambulance stations.
