Cromwell Medical Centre’s Dr Isla Gilmore not only provides excellent GP services to our patients but loves being involved in the Cromwell Community.
Isla went to Otago medical School and completed her clinical training in Christchurch. She joined Cromwell Medical Centre in 2010 and completed her fellowship of GP in 2014. She has a special interest in women’s health and her personable approach helps put her patients at ease. She is currently working on a post-graduate diploma in General Practice and particularly enjoys teaching medical students. Isla loves the challenges and variety that come with being in rural GP. Isla enjoys working with emergency services and says “it is great to be part of the team of volunteer emergency services (Fire Service and St John Ambulance).
Originally from Wellington but a country girl at heart, Isla loves living in a small town and the way that she can get to know patients both in the practice and in the community.
During her spare time she enjoys tramping, gardening and karate. Isla is married to Jordan (a keen local cyclist) and is settled in Cromwell with two samoyed dogs and two cats.
