Originally from Liverpool, UK, I came to New Zealand in 2001 for what was only supposed to be a 3 month job…
After spending many years working in anaesthetics and emergency medicine in Christchurch and Dunedin, I became a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in 2012. I met my partner whilst working in the French ski resort of Val d’Isère. We are parents to three young children and have lived in Central Otago since 2008.
I have a keen interest in travel medicine, including working as a volunteer doctor on medical expeditions across the Caribbean and Central America, and have a Postgraduate Diploma in Travel Medicine from Otago University. I also have a passion for adolescent and women’s health and am working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Women’s Health from Otago University.
I really enjoy working as a GP in such a beautiful place, and I look forward to meeting you at Cromwell Medical Centre.
